Hiatus till August + tangled wires of home

Just a note that my series on this blog I Know How Small A Story Can Be will resume at the beginning of August, after I’m back from offline-BC (which is a place). You can read the first five stories below.

On Monday I read at the Harrison Festival of the Arts from my book People Who Disappear. The audience was incredible and I asked the event’s MC Madeleine Hardin (from the University of the Fraser Valley, the event sponsor) for her permission to post her introduction to my reading here. Madeleine’s description of my book rang true for me:

Alex Leslie’s debut collection of short stories, People Who Disappear, published by Freehand Books, captures the dream-like feeling we all experience when we remember the people we have loved; those dear and even intimate strangers who touch and change our lives through the tangled wires of our hearts and our home.
